Doug Free

Mr. Free has been associated with George Wythe College since 1998, when he served on the steering committee during the latter end of the founding phase. He attended Brigham Young University, where he studied Business Management, Humanities, and Mechanical Engineering. An entrepreneur at heart, at the age of 26 he and his wife, Jenny, started the "Briar Rose Preschool." Within two years, this Montessori school had 200 children and 25 employees. Following the sale of this venture, he started "Authentic Arizona," a custom furniture company that grew to three locations in the first 18 months. Since then, he has headed a small business consulting company in Phoenix, AZ, and is currently a software consultant, managing the account relationships and working on corporate strategy for large manufacturing firms in the US and Canada.

Mr. Free resides in Cedar City, UT with his wife and seven children. He is an Eagle Scout and served a two-year mission for his church at the age of 19. He is passionate about learning, demonstrating, and teaching principles of masterful leadership and strongly believes in the vision, mission, and values of George Wythe College.

“To build men and women of virtue, wisdom, diplomacy, and courage
who inspire greatness in others and move the cause of liberty.”
