James C. Ure received his B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and graduated magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law. James has been President of various organizations and personally hosted speeches or debates with Justice Scalia, Judges Edith Jones and Priscilla Owen, Senator James L. Buckley, and prominent law school deans and professors from around the country. James has performed legal research for articles that have been published in various law reviews and his article, “You Scratch My Back and I’ll Scratch Yours: Why the Federal Marriage Amendment Should Also Repeal the Seventeenth Amendment” was published in the 2007 South Texas Law Review. He has been a small business owner, clerked for a state court judge and a law firm, and served in 2002 as an intern in the Utah House of Representatives for the majority whip. He is married to the former Angela Stott, and they have two children.
