“Together, We Do Better”

George Wythe College is proud to partner with Comanity as a means of assisting students to finance their college education.

“Comanity” means “cooperative humanity.” We are a unique membership organization that uses the collective buying power of a rapidly increasing membership base to negotiate preferred pricing on essential products and services for businesses, individuals, and families.

Comanity was created to answer the challenges of funding for non-profit organizations (Affinities) in an increasingly competitive marketplace. We do this by partnering with reputable organizations in support of worthy causes. As these Affinity organizations refer their members, alumni, patrons, employees and supporters to our services, we return a substantial portion of the revenue to the referring organization.

Comanity’s Mission Statement:

Human cooperation is one of the greatest resources
on earth—and the inspiration for our name, Comanity.

We partner with institutions in their quest to nurture
families, honor the environment, build knowledge or
otherwise enhance life on this planet.

Causes that qualify are those that educate, liberate,
comfort, feed, clothe, preach, heal, and beautify.

Our focus is financial. Through skillfully designed
programs, we generate immediate and perpetual income
streams to replenish the work that others are doing.

Our objective is to serve those who serve, to give to
those who give, and to realize our vision for a cooperative
humanity under the guiding hand of Providence.

We recruit ‘Working Partners’ to assist in fulfilling Comanity’s mission. They earn income and gain valuable experience by learning how to sell and market to businesses and individuals on behalf of the Affinity they have chosen to espouse.

The Founding Affinity, George Wythe College used this program as early as 1998 to provide work-scholarships for students interested in funding their schooling and living expenses without incurring student loans or debt that would normally plague them for years after they graduate. George Wythe College now allows this renewable scholarship to be handed down to another family member when the first student is finished. This gets an entire family and local community involved for generations. George Wythe College even provides resources and mentoring to Affinities to ensure success.

Vendors support the Working Partners by providing experienced professionals standing by to ensure the best possible experience for everyone who joins Comanity.

Because we focus on budgeted necessities like telecommunications, cellular, internet, financial services, business services, and offer discount prices, participants can make substantial contributions to the cause and actually reduce their monthly outflow at the same time. Prices continue to go down as everyone pools their buying power, creating a genuine “win” for all and inspires our slogan “Together, We Do Better!”

Our model offers a ‘win’ to everyone involved:

  1. A worthy cause is supported. All members support a cause.
  2. Youth are provided income and experience.
  3. Businesses, individuals, and families save money on premium products and services.
  4. Vendors receive quality customers who pay their bills and rarely leave.
  5. Comanity grows in buying power to drive prices down and contributions up.

The following guidelines are established to ensure that the organizations we partner with in Comanity will uphold the mission statement:

  1. Nonprofit organizations and/or groups are cause-related. A high percentage of the dollars they fundraise go to accomplishing their mission or stated purpose. Their mission or purpose has a measurable effect in the community.
  2. Nonprofit organizations and/or groups practice non-violence in promoting their mission and advancing their cause.
  3. The organizations are not racist or violate the civil rights of human beings.
  4. The nonprofit organizations and/or groups are patriotic and not anti-American. They do not participate in subversive actions that hurt our country.
  5. The methods of the organizations do not involve illegal activities.
  6. Comanity supports pro-life.
  7. The Board of Advisors of Comanity reserves the right to carefully review the mission statement of any organization /group to ensure that they meet our guidelines. We may elect to not work with any organization that is politically charged or controversial in nature.
