How to Apply (Doctorate Program)

Admissions deadlines vary by semester. Click here and then select the semester of intended enrollment.


Program Eligibility

There are three ways to meet the prerequisites to this program:

  • Postdoctoral Studies. Juris Doctorate or Ph.D. in a related field (law, political science, etc.). Submit all graduate transcripts (and dissertation if applicable) with application.
  • Doctoral Studies. Prerequisite: Master's degree or doctoral degree in an unrelated field. Submit all transcripts and thesis or dissertation with application.
  • Executive Path. Prerequisite: Establish that you have served as president, CEO, founder or senior executive of a qualified company-typically with gross annual receipts of at least $5 million. George Wythe College affirms that executive leadership at the highest levels is as effective preparation for statesmanship as academic studies. Submit a detailed comprehensive resume and documentation of executive status and history with application.

How to Apply

  1. Application
    Get started now,
    Apply online      or
    Download the Application Form
  2. Transcripts
    Call all previous colleges and have your transcripts sent directly to GWC.
  3. Test Scores
    Obtain test results for GRE, LSAT or Millers tests.

  4. Resume or Vita
    Prepare a detailed, current resume or curriculum vita. 
  5. Personal Essay
    Write an essay addressing the topic: “Statesmanship in the 21st Century.”
  6. Thesis or Dissertation if Applicable
    If applicable obtain a copy of a previous PhD thesis or dissertation.  
  7. Application Fee
    Include in the mailing the $160 application fee.
  8. Mail
    Mail the above items to: George Wythe College, Director of Admissions, 970 South Sage Drive, Cedar City, Utah 84720
  9. Academic Interview
    After completed applications are received you will be contacted in order to schedule an academic interview.
