Ph.D. Course Offerings

Ph.D. courses may be completed in three ways:

  • Graduate Seminars – Select courses are offered through graduate seminars held six times per year, twice per semester.
  • On-campus Courses – The Graduate Honors Seminar and other on-campus courses are available to meet specific program requirements.
  • Individualized Study Program (ISP) – Under the direction of a Ph.D. Program Mentor, students may satisfy specific Ph.D. program requirements through an individualized program of study. Normally, these discussions are initiated by the student during mentor meetings made available in conjunction with Graduate Seminars or by appointment.

 

Ph.D. Program Mentoring

Students are highly encouraged to regularly participate in the one-on-one mentoring sessions made available at every Graduate Seminar. Students are encouraged to seek out additional mentoring as the student deems necessary.

 

Ph.D. Enrollment Paths

The George Wythe College doctoral degree in Constitutional Law is a 3 – 5 year program consisting of a minimum of 74 credits. To remain current in the program, students are required to enroll in at least two of the three semesters offered each year. Enrollment in any given semester consists of registering for either of the two Ph.D. “Paths” described below. Students are welcome to switch paths from one semester to another.

Ph.D. Enrollment Path A (Available Fall and Winter semesters only)

Path “A” is intended for full-time, on-campus students or part-time students interested in attending the weekly, on-campus Graduate Honors course in addition to their other Ph.D. studies.

Students may enroll in any combination of the following:

  • Graduate Seminar courses
  • On-campus Graduate Honors Seminar
  • On-campus Undergraduate or Masters-level courses as directed by a Ph.D. Program Mentor.
  • Individualized Study Program

Tuition: Tuition is $9,500 per semester.

New Merit Scholarship Available

All new and returning Path A students are eligible to receive a Merit Scholarship in the amount of $4,505 per semester, reducing the tuition cost per semester to $4,995. Please click here for more information.

 

Ph.D. Enrollment Path B (Available Fall, Winter and Summer semesters)

Path “B” is intended for working professionals, full-time parents and other part-time students who complete most of their coursework at home and\or the Graduate Seminars held on-campus twice each semester.

Students may enroll in the following:

  • Graduate Seminar courses
  • Individualized Study Program

Tuition: Tuition is $2,790 per semester.
