July 7—August 2, 2008
The Mountain Seminar
An in-depth experience of Renewal, Vision and Purpose
Mentored by Nels Jensen

Tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything.
-Shakespeare

There’s life, and then there’s the Good Life. When did you last sleep under the stars, swim in a lake, or enjoy lunch on a mountain side? Nature has so much to teach us. Are we listening? Busyness and stress are rampant in our modern world. Step out of the rat race and into nature. Would you like to be more effective in your relationships and occupation? Come and experience renewal of purpose and strengthening of discipline. Learn Key Actions that will deeply change you. Learn how to meditate. Enhance your courage, will, strength and faith. Experience beauty and have plenty of plain old fun.

Part I, Didactic: July 7—19. Cedar City, UT: Read and discuss world-class renewal texts, connect with nature and participate in hiking, rappelling, canyoneering, astronomy, ropes course and more. Also, learn wilderness survival and backcountry skills.

Part II, Expedition: July 21—Aug 2. Wind Rivers Wilderness, Wyoming*: Backpack the world famous Wind River range. Catch trout, swim in pristine lakes, sit around the campfire and summit Freemont Peak (13,745 ft). Practice wilderness survival and backcountry skills. Renew and revitalize as you focus on a life of purpose.
