The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Part III
October 17-18, 2008

Thomas Jefferson is perhaps the greatest philosopher of freedom in history. He was also one of those rare statesmen of the mind who was also a great practical leader and effective head of state. Join us for this intense, in-depth study of Jefferson’s original writings. This seminar is for professionals, scholars, advanced graduate students, executives and others who want to study Thomas Jefferson in his own words.

PLANNED ITINERARY
Friday, October 17
1:00-2:00 pm     Registration
2:00-4:00 pm     Session I
4:00-6:00 pm     Session II

Saturday, October 18
9:00-12:00 am   Session III
12:00-1:00 pm   Lunch Break
1:00-4:00 pm     Session IV

Readings:
A Writings of Thomas Jefferson Readings Packet will be sent to you upon registration. The cost of this packet is $10.00

Ph.D. Students do not need the readings packet. Instead, they should purchase and read volumes 9-12 of The Writing of Thomas Jefferson by Jefferson and Lipscomb. These volumes are not available for purchase through the college.

Cost:
This seminar is open to the public. Non-student pricing for this seminar is $1,395* per person and does not include housing, materials or books. Student pricing varies by degree program. Students who have not already enrolled in this seminar as part of their Fall 2008 registration process should see the registration form below for details.
